Position: Fitness Specialist/Personal Trainer (PT)
Approx. 20 hours/week, Weeknights & Weekends

Brief Description: The Ludlow Community Center/Randall Boys & Girls Club is a community based not for profit, which provides youth and adult life enhancing programs.  Our programs focus on promoting healthy lifestyles, academic success, and developing strong character and leadership skills. 

The Club is currently looking for a Fitness Specialist/Personal Trainer to provide a safe and nurturing environment and offer members with opportunities to learn and grow through quality programming and services within our community.  The Fitness Room features a selection of cardiovascular training equipment, resistance training machines, a Cybex BRAVO Functional Trainer, dumbbells, weighted medicine balls, stability balls, and more.

Responsibilities: The Fitness Specialist/Personal Trainer is responsible for developing and implementing safe and effective exercise programs for members, personal training clients and small group classes; generate personal training clientele; monitor fitness room; maintain the safety and cleanliness of the fitness room and equipment.  The ideal candidate works well with others; is enthusiastic, energetic, personable, positive and professional; excels in time management skills and is task-oriented. On scheduled days is responsible for opening and/or closing the facility.

Requirements:

  • 4 year degree in Physical Education, Movement Sciences or related field (or currently enrolled in classes)
  • CPR, First Aid, AED Certification
  • One national certification (ACSM, ACE, NASM, NSCA) in personal training
  • Nationally recognized Group Exercise Certification (preferred) 

Salary: $13.00 per hour base pay + compensation for personal training sessions
