Mechilia Salazar has nearly two decades of management and leadership experience spanning the corporate and nonprofit sectors.  Prior to joining the Ludlow Community Center/Randall Boys & Girls Club, Mechilia served as The BASE's Chief Development Officer where she was responsible for the strategy and execution of a $2.5M annual fundraising plan while building out a $10M+ strategy to expand to new markets. Mechilia started her career in corporate sales and marketing after graduating from Colby-Sawyer College with a degree in Child Development and Early Childhood Education. She went on to combine both experiences to lead the Middlesex County Boys & Girls Clubs as their executive director. During her tenure, she rebuilt the organization at every level. Her bold leadership of clubs spanned across 3 cities and led to an expansion into a 4th city and the creation of one of Boys & Girls Clubs' first teen-only clubs in the country. She is an alumnus of the Institute for Nonprofit Practice and has served on faculty as a Senior Fellow as well as a mentor.
