Business Office Assistant (part-time)

Position: Business Office Assistant (Part-Time 25-30 hrs. wk)

Brief Description: The Ludlow Community Center/Randall Boys & Girls Club is a community based not for profit, which provides youth and adult life enhancing programs.  Our programs focus on promoting healthy lifestyles, academic success, and developing strong character and leadership skills. 

The Club is currently looking for a Business Office Assistant to provide administrative and accounting support to the Director of Finance. 

Responsibilities: The Business Office Assistant is responsible for overseeing the delivery of a broad range of accounting tasks as directed by the Director of Finance.  These tasks include but are not limited to the following: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, payroll support, spreadsheet work and related projects as directed.  This position may also assist with administration/clerical update of employee benefit programs.

Requirements:

  • HS diploma required/Bachelor’s Degree preferred from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance or business administration.
  • A minimum of three years of progressively responsible work experience working with accounting functions in a non-profit agency, small business or equivalent.
  • Prior or current QuickBooks Enterprise accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and accounting practices, processes and procedures of non-profit organizations.
  • Strong communication skill, both verbal and written; phone, email, in-person.
  • Ability to interact successfully with customer families and vendors in a professional manner and communicate clearly the position of the Club.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and project management abilities.

Salary: $14-15 per hour, negotiable
