The Ludlow Community Center/Randall Boys & Girls Club is a great place for you and your family to stay in shape throughout the year. The Fitness Room features a selection of cardiovascular training equipment (Elliptical Cross-trainers, Treadmills, Rowers, Stair Stepper, Recumbent and Upright Bikes, Spin Bike), resistance training machines (Cybex Strength Equipment), a Cybex BRAVO Functional Trainer, dumbbells, weighted medicine balls, stability balls, and more. 

Age Requirements:  
Fitness Room: Adult and Teen members ages 14 and up are permitted to use the Fitness Room during all hours of operation.  
Teen members ages 14-17 may use the Fitness Room only after completing a Fitness Room Orientation with the fitness staff.  
Guests must be at least 18 years of age to use the Fitness Center. 
Group Exercise Classes: Members and guests must be at least 14 years of age to attend adult group exercise classes.

Aqua Zumba

Aqua Zumba® is the "pool party" workout for all ages.
This safe, effective, and challenging water-based workout integrates the Zumba® formula and philosophy into traditional aqua fitness disciplines. Aqua Zumba® is low-impact, cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and fun, making it a great class for all fitness levels.

Boot Camp

This 30-minute high-quality, powerful workout will maximize your strength, agility & stamina. This military-style workout includes cardiovascular & plyometric drills as well as muscular conditioning exercises. Push-ups, sit-ups, jump rope & calisthenics – anything & everything is fair game in this total body workout! All fitness levels welcome.

Cardio Kickboxing

Cardio Kickboxing is a power-packed cardiovascular workout infused with intense kickboxing moves and performed to high-energy and motivating music! Each full body workout consists of a warm up, higher paced intervals, easy to follow punching and kickboxing combinations, kickboxing-specific strength/endurance training, and a cool down designed to maximize results and have fun at the same time!
All fitness levels welcome.

CardioStrong

This infusion of strength and cardio will increase muscular endurance as well as cardiovascular endurance in one fun and easy to follow class. If you are looking to improve your ability to move efficiently or just looking to improve the ease of daily activity this class is for you.

H.I.I.T.

H.I.I.T. is a total body, aerobic and strength conditioning interval-based workout.  The class format includes intervals of high intensity exercises, followed by recovery intervals of light to moderate intensity exercises, allowing you to work at a higher intensity for a given period of time to improve endurance, power, strength, balance and agility.

Mat Science

A fusion of Yoga and Pilates

Mat Science instructor Valerie teaches this progressive series of exercises that accommodate all fitness levels to increase strength, flexibility, and balance of the entire body. The exercise are derived from classic disciplines such as Yoga and Pilates. The focus of the class is on mindful movement, core-stabilization technique, and unified body movements. Mat Science is a low-intensity calorie-burning workout that sculpts your body slim and helps you lose weight and inches!

Pilates

Pilates consists of a combination of exercise based on the concepts of Joseph Pilates. This workout includes a series of mat exercises that will increase your flexibility, strength, and muscular endurance. Special emphasis is placed on strengthening the body's core (the abdominal, low back, and hip musculature). Pilates improves your posture, coordination, and ciculation as well as your mental and physical well-being.

Strength Class

Strength Training Class combines cardiovascular drills with strength-training exercises to provide you with a total body workout! This class focuses on functional training with the goal of strengthening your core muscles with exercise that will assist you with everyday movements.
Strength Class will increase your muscular strength and endurance, as well as improve your balance and coordination!
Various pieces of equipment are utilized, including free weights, Stability Balls, Medicine Balls, and Resistance Bands.
This class can be modified for all levels.

 The TRX Suspension Trainer:

  • Quick and effective way to complete a total-body workout
  • Increase Core Strength and Increases muscular endurance

Yoga

Experience the rich benefits of yoga with this therapeutic and balanced practice. Learn to become aware of proper alignment, reduce stress, and find focus in both body and soul. Students can increase flexibility and strength while deepening their relationship with their inner self. Basic yoga postures will be taught with an emphasis on mediation and breathing.

Zumba

Zumba Fitness® is a fusion of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps to the tune of Latin and International music. The routine features aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba utilizes the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning, and total body toning. Join in on the fun!

Zumba Toning

Zumba® Toning blends body-sculpting and Zumba moves into a high cardio, strength-training class. This is a one-hour, fat-burning. and muscle-toning class that feels like a dance fitness party. Same wonderful Latin inspired music as Zumba Fitness. Check it out... It's a blast!
