Supporting us doesn't have to involve a monetary donation; donate your time. At the club, we are always looking for volunteers to help support us.

Volunteer Opportunities 2016 - 2017

Sunday, December  4th 9:00am to 11:00am 2016
Breakfast with Santa – The Club will host its annual Holiday breakfast with Santa. We are expecting between 100 -125 children for this event. The Club could use 5 volunteers to assistance with set up and break down, serving and helping out with the arts and crafts project.  There are currently no sponsors associated with this event.

Sunday, January 15th 12:00pm – 1:30pm 2017
B.I.N.G.O Two volunteers are needed for this event to assist caller to read out the wining cards. We are expecting 25 people at this event.  There are currently no sponsors associated with this event.

Sunday, February 12th 12:00pm – 2:00pm 2017
Father and Daughter Dance – We are expecting approximately 240 couples. We will need 5 to 10 volunteers for set up and break down as well as registration, raffles, and assistance at the doors. There are currently no sponsors associated with this event.

Sunday, March 5th 11:00am – 1:00pm
Family Game Day – This is about adults and kids of all ages spending meaningful time together. They can play board games from the back in the days up to the current board games. They will also have the opportunity to play fuse ball, pool, playdough, puzzles and much more. We are expecting 25 people.  There will be a light snack and raffles.  3 to 4 volunteers are need for raffles, serving snack, and over seeing some game.

Sunday, April 9th 11:00am – 1:00pm 2017
Easter Egg Hunt – The Club will Host the 5thannual Easter Egg Hunt. Last year 100 children attended this event. We will need 3 volunteers for raffles, helping with photos and taking tickets. Ludlow CARES sponsored this event last year.

 

Additional Opportunities
For the school year, the Club’s operating hours are Monday through Thursday (5am-8pm), Friday (5am-7pm), and Saturday (8am-4pm) and Sunday (8-2pm); schedules slightly change June through September, holidays and during school vacations.

Volunteer Requirements Process:

All volunteers must fill out a volunteer packet which includes an information sheet and CORI, SORI and Choice Point background checks. The volunteer may start once all information is complete and meets standards outlined in our screening policy.

What do you look for in a volunteer?

  • Enjoys kids: We often look for volunteers to help support our youth programs. From sports teams to yearly events, our volunteers play a large role in making that possible.
  • Enthusiastic: Lets face it, kids are exhausting! We are looking for volunteers who can keep up with our little ones!
  • Positive Worker: We love what we do and we hope you do too! We are always looking for positive up-beat volunteers.

May 30th, 2015
11:00am-1:00pm

This is about adults and kids of all ages spending meaningful time together. They can play board games from the back in the days up to the current board games. Volunteers are need for raffles, serving ice cream, and over seeing some games.

September 9th, 2015
11:00am – 2:00pm

Boys & Girls Clubs of America celebrates the importance of establishing stronger relationships between adults and youth by leading the BGC Day for Kids effort. Held this year on Saturday, September 19th BGC Day for Kids was established to encourage adults and children to spend meaningful time together. The Club will need volunteers to assist with running games, raffles, and food. There are currently no sponsors associated with this event.

October 30th, 2015
5:30pm - 8:30pm

The Club will host its annual Carnival/Parade event including the 2nd annual Trunk or Treat. We will have carnival games, arts & crafts, tattoos, storytelling photos, food, and treat bags for the children. This event will be on Friday, October 30th. We are expecting to have 450 kids attend this event. The Club could use 20-25 volunteers to assist with running games, face painting, tattooing, arts & crafts. There is currently one sponsor associated with this event.

December 6th
9:00am - 11:00am
