Supporting us doesn't have to involve a monetary donation; donate your time. At the club, we are always looking for volunteers to help support us.

Volunteer Opportunities 2017 - 2018

Friday, October – 27th 5:30pm – 8:30pm 2017
Halloween Carnival/Rag Shag Parade - The Club will host its annual Halloween Carnival/Parade event including the 2nd annual Trunk or Treat. We will have carnival games, arts & crafts, tattoos, storytelling photos, food and treat bags for the children and trunk or treat outside in the parking lot. We are expecting to have over 500 kids attend this event.  The Club could use 20-25 volunteers to assist with running games, face painting, tattooing, arts & crafts. Currently, the Lion’s Club helps to subsidize the cost of a portion of the candy.

Sunday, December – 3rd 9:00am to 11:00am 2017
Breakfast with Santa – The Club will host its annual Holiday breakfast with Santa. We are expecting between 100 -125 children for this event. The Club could use 5 volunteers to assistance with set up and break down, serving and helping out with the arts and crafts project.  There are currently no sponsors associated with this event.

Sunday, January - 14th 12:00pm – 1:30pm 2018
B.I.N.G.O Two volunteers are needed for this event to assist caller to read out the wining cards. There are currently no sponsors associated with this event.

Sunday, February – 11th 12:00pm – 2:00pm 2018
Father and Daughter Dance – We are expecting approximately 240 couples. We will need 5 to 10 volunteers for set up and break down as well as registration, raffles, and assistance at the doors. There are currently no sponsors associated with this event.

Sunday, March 4th 11:00am – 1:00pm 2018
Family Game Day – This is about adults and kids of all ages spending meaningful time together. They can play board games from the back in the days up to the current board games. They will also have the opportunity to play fuse ball, pool, playdough, puzzles and much more. There will be a light snack and raffles.  3 to 4 volunteers are need for raffles, serving snack, and over seeing some game.

Sunday, April 8th - 11:00am – 1:00pm 2018
Easter Egg Hunt – The Club will Host the 5thannual Easter Egg Hunt. Last year 100 children attended this event. We will need 3 volunteers for raffles, helping with photos and taking tickets. There are currently no sponsors associated with this event.

Saturday, June 10th – 11:00am – 1:00pm 2018
Mother and Son Picnic The Club will host the 2nd annual Mother and Son Picnic.
We will need 3 volunteers for raffles set up and break down. Currently no sponsors associated.


Additional Opportunities
For the school year, the Club’s operating hours are Monday through Thursday (5am-8pm), Friday (5am-7pm), and Saturday (8am-4pm) and Sunday (8-2pm); schedules slightly change June through September, holidays and during school vacations.

Volunteer Requirements Process:

All volunteers must fill out a volunteer packet which includes an information sheet and CORI, SORI and Choice Point background checks. The volunteer may start once all information is complete and meets standards outlined in our screening policy.

What do you look for in a volunteer?

  • Enjoys kids: We often look for volunteers to help support our youth programs. From sports teams to yearly events, our volunteers play a large role in making that possible.
  • Enthusiastic: Lets face it, kids are exhausting! We are looking for volunteers who can keep up with our little ones!
  • Positive Worker: We love what we do and we hope you do too! We are always looking for positive up-beat volunteers.
