STRENGTH CLASS
Strength Training Class
combines cardiovascular drills with strength-training

provide you with a total body workout!
This class focuses on functional training with the goal of
strengthening your core muscles with exercises that will
assist you with everyday movements. Strength Class will
increase your muscular strength and endurance, as well as
improve your balance & coordination! Various pieces of
equipment are utilized, including
free weights, Stability Balls, Medicine Balls, and Resistance
Bands.

MAT
SCIENCE
Mat Science instructor Valerie teaches
this progressive series of exercises that accommodate all
fitness levels to increase strength, flexibility, and
balance of the entire body. The exercises are derived from
classic disciplines such as
Yoga and
Pilates.
The focus of the class is on mindful movement, core
stabilization technique and unified body movements. Mat
Science is a low-intensity calorie-burning workout that
sculpts your body slim and helps you lose weight and inches.

Pilates consists of a combination of
exercises based on the concepts of Joseph Pilates.
This workout includes a series of mat exercises that will

strengthening the body’s core,
which includes the abdominals, low back and
hip musculature.
Pilates improves your posture, coordination
and circulation as
well as your mental and physical well-being.

Advanced Beginning Salsa

This class will have you learning new moves, integrating

partnering technique, and letting that hip movement flow!
If you’re feeling rusty, relax.
We will begin with a thorough review of the basics. This
class is intended for students who have
taken the Ludlow Boys and Girls Club Salsa class or
completed a month of Salsa lessons.
Cha Cha
Wednesdays 4/11-5/9 (5-Class Session)
7:00-8:00pm
Cha Cha is a Latin “spot” dance, so it’s commonly done in
clubs, where dance space is often at a premium.
With a wide range of steps & turns, the leader & follower
usually mirror each other. A lively & fun Latin
Ballroom dance, Cha Cha is a favorite because it is easily
learned & can be danced to a wide variety of popular music
hits, as well as to Latin music. No previous dance
experience necessary. If you’ve taken this class before,
it’s time to brush up on your footwork & improve your
technique & styling. No partner necessary.

Credit Policy
Credits will only be given if registration is cancelled at
least 5 business days prior to the start of the program/event. No
credits will be given for classes missed when registered for a
session.
If the Ludlow Boys & Girls Club cancels a program due to low
registration or inclement weather, a refund will be given to
those registered. |
