Announcing CEO Leadership Transition

2/27/2023 | Diana Roy

Dear Ludlow Community Center / Randall Boys & Girls Club Family,

I am writing to inform you of an important transition at the Club. Our President and CEO, Mechilia (Chile) Salazar, has accepted an exciting opportunity to work for the Foundation for Hope for Children & Families Foundation in Springfield, so she has submitted her resignation as President and CEO of the Ludlow Community Center / Randall Boys & Girls Club, effective at the end of April.

Unfortunately for us, we will be saying goodbye to a dynamic leader, one who has navigated us through the challenges of a pandemic, quickly developing a plan to assist families faced with remote learning challenges; a community partner who not only made connections in town but also dug in to work side by side with Ludlow residents on important projects; and a creative thinker who continuously helped the Club to envision the possibilities and make them happen.

During her five year tenure, Chile built a talented, committed staff who are ready to carry on with the many capital improvement projects in process and the vision that they built together for the future of the Club. The Board of Directors and I will miss her deeply, but we are ever grateful for the impact Chile Salazar has made on the community of Ludlow.

The Board is conducting a search for Chile’s replacement, and we have a transition team ready to keep the Club running smoothly before and after her departure. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you might have, and feel free to share the posting for this important position.
