2008 SHERIFF’S SPRINT TRIATHLON

     Sheriff Michael J. Ashe, Jr. extends his sincere Thank You to the participants, sponsors, over 50 volunteers and Town of Ludlow departments in making the 4th Annual Sprint Triathlon a huge success.

     Thank you to the over 175  athletes for their participation and coming out to support the youth of the Ludlow Boys & Girls Club.

Congratulations to the first place male and female winners, Paul McClosky and Jennifer Scalise-Marinofskey and all the participants. A very special thanks  to our loyal race sponsor Country Bank for the participation for the 4^th consecutive year.

     A very special thanks goes out to the following corporations and businesses that sponsored teams from Minnechaug and Ludlow High School:  Comfort Footwear,

Deluxe Auto Sales, Keller Williams Realty, Larry’s Auto Body, Norpin Manufacturing, Senergy Nutrition, Steve McDaniels, DDS, George Simon & Sons Jewelers, and Wilbraham Family  Dentistry. Kudos also go out to Ned Doyle, Athletic Director of Minnechaug High School and Nancy Kurty, Athletic Director of Ludlow High School.

     Thank You to members of the race committee, and chair Kevin Crowley who help make the race a success year after year. Fernando Pina, Wendell Pryor and members of the Special Police Force, Chief James McGowan and members of the Ludlow Police Department, Chief Charles Chaconas, Captain Mark Babineau and members of the Fire Department, Paul Dzubek, Kenny Batista and members of the Department of Public Works for their support in making the race a safe and fun filled event for both the spectators and the participants.
